JUNE 2009 poem:
" June
Delights "
Amongst the meadows the flowers sing
Celebrating the passage of the seasons
A marvelous thing
As the waters ripple and flow in sync
To walk and ponder
Nature 's haven
The place to think
Echoes of laughter
And outdoor festivals start
To be captivated and inspired
A true work of art
Weddings and graduations
Take full flight
Cottage and trailers
Become a common
site
Them pesky mosquitoes
Have returned with
no shame
As they violate our skin
Never will
they be tame
Here's
to the outdoor patios
As patrons
raise their glass
Enjoying
their meals and company
While the music blasts
So time to get moving
Get into the swing
Embrace
the sounds and sights
Of all that there is to offer
From the June delights...
